The role involves delivering direct patient care, including vital sign collection, assisting with procedures, administering treatments, and managing documentation and communication regarding test results and care plans. Responsibilities also include scheduling appointments, coordinating physician schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Candidates must successfully complete an accredited Medical Assistant program and obtain one of several specified Medical Assistant certifications within one year of hire, along with obtaining Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter abuse training certifications within three months. Proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a shared leadership environment are also required.
