The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide primary and limited urgent care services, conducting physical exams, establishing treatment plans, ordering tests, and prescribing medications within approved parameters. This role also involves assisting with the supervision of medical staff and acting as a care coordinator for patient referrals.
Candidates must possess education equivalent to a Master’s degree in a related field along with some related experience, and must hold a Family Nurse Practitioner license from the Commonwealth of Virginia, specialty certification, and CPR certification. Required abilities include knowledge of public health principles, diagnostic skill, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
