Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered State Registered Nurse license and one to two years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology, along with active BLS certification.

About the Role
Position is based in the CIS clinic
Reports directly to the Nursing Team Leader
Supports cardiovascular physicians and interdisciplinary medical staff
Provides direct patient care and clinical coordination
Works under direction of leadership including physicians, Practice Administrator, EVP of Nursing Services, and CEO as needed
How You’ll Drive Our Mission Forward
Triage patients and assess urgent/emergent conditions
Obtain and document medications, allergies, vital signs, complaints, and H&P in paper and/or EMR
Communicate patient concerns and clinical findings to providers
Assist physicians/providers during patient visits and procedures
Review, complete, and carry out provider orders
Administer injections and manage medication samples per protocol

Maintain accurate, complete electronic documentation including phone encounters and wait times
Respond to phone calls from patients, pharmacies, physician offices, and home health agencies
Perform venipunctures and finger sticks
Assist with Coumadin clinic duties as needed
Educate patients and families on diagnostic tests and procedures
