The role involves efficiently performing clerical and business tasks to ensure smooth patient flow, including accurate patient registration, managing the telephone, and scheduling appointments. Responsibilities also cover preparing electronic health records, collecting payments and co-payments, and entering charges for maximum reimbursement.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with one year of healthcare administrative experience using an EHR system, including working with ICD/CPT codes and scheduling, or two years of general administrative/customer service experience. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of ICD/CPT codes and formal education in Healthcare Management or coding.
