The CMA greets and escorts patients, prepares exam rooms, assists with exams and procedures, schedules appointments, and educates patients on follow-up expectations. They also maintain quality control logs and ensure medical equipment is functioning properly.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current national certification as a CMA, and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program and one year of healthcare experience.
