Caregivers also assist with shopping, escorting clients to appointments, and offering emotional support to encourage independence.
Applicants must have a minimum of six months of prior caregiver experience and be able to communicate effectively with seniors, demonstrating compassion and patience. Essential requirements include being 18 or older, having a valid driver's license or state ID, proof of U.S. work eligibility, passing a criminal background check and drug screening, and being physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
