The role involves providing direct outpatient primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, medication prescription, and managing chronic diseases according to established protocols. Responsibilities also include collaborating with care teams, participating in case reviews, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must possess a BLS Certificate and hold full licensure to practice medicine by the NC Board of Nursing or NC Board of Medical Examiners, along with national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience and familiarity with underserved or rural populations.
