The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Invasive Lab, including assessing, preparing, positioning patients, and performing conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring. This role also involves communicating patient conditions to physicians and assisting with or facilitating various invasive procedures while managing necessary equipment and supplies.

As an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will provide care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, an invasive imaging procedure that evaluates heart function. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
00AM – 5:00PM, with on-call requirements.
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Invasive Lab.
Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
Prepare, implement and document plans of care.
Communicate patients’ condition to physicians before, during and after procedures.
Assist with and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
