The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various personal care services for patients as part of the Interdisciplinary Team, including bathing, hygiene, dressing assistance, and skin observation. The role requires promptly attending to patient requests, reporting observations to the RN, and maintaining a clean living area.
Candidates should ideally possess one to two years of healthcare experience, preferably in acute care or homecare settings, and must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Required credentials include current Massachusetts CNA licensure, current CPR Certification, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.

This is a full-time, 32-hour position. The Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the Interdisciplinary Team who performs various services for a patient and family as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs. T h e C N A is responsible for observing, reporting, and documenting care performed.
The CNA will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the Nurse Practice Act Specifically, the CNA will not administer medications, take physician's orders or perform procedures requiring training, knowledge and skill of a licensed nurse, such as sterile technique.
