Licensed Practical Nurses provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients according to hospital policies and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. LPNs operate under the direction of a Registered Nurse within an assigned clinical area.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited practical nursing school and hold current licensure as an LPN in the State of Georgia, along with American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. One year of experience as an LPN is preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Northside Hospital. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. LPNs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED One (1) year of experience as an LPN. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
