The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu using age-specific behavioral management practices, while also facilitating therapeutic skill-training groups for patients. This role involves functioning as part of the interdisciplinary team, documenting information, and assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, and dressing.
Candidates must possess strong verbal communication skills in English and the ability to function effectively in a multitasking environment, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. Essential requirements include the capability to take swift action, including patient restraint during emergencies, and maintaining certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and PMT/de-escalation techniques.
