The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens, as well as performing various urine specimen collections including DOT and NON-DOT drug collections. Additionally, the role involves plating culture specimens, performing waived testing, and handling departmental clerical duties such as answering phones and faxing reports.
Candidates must possess the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic services to patients of all ages while maintaining a professional disposition. Requirements include working towards a high school diploma or equivalent, with phlebotomy licensure and clinical experience being preferred but not mandatory.

Phlebotomists must maintain a professional disposition at all times when taking care of patients. Phlebotomist collects venous and capillary blood specimens from patient, urine/timed urine specimen collection, DOT and NON-DOT urine drug collection, plates culture specimens to appropriate media, performs waived testing, and performs various office and clerical duties of the department including answering the phone and faxing reports.
Shift: As needed, evenings/rotating weekends
