The technologist is responsible for the safe application of oxygen at pressures up to 66 feet of seawater under the direction of physicians and oversees the maintenance and operation of associated life support systems and equipment. This role may also involve overseeing chamber operations in the director's absence, serving as Safety Director, or leading in-service training.
Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, two years of clinical hyperbaric operations experience, and holding a valid CHT certification within one year of hire. Candidates must also be a registered Paramedic, EMT, or licensed allied health care professional, or military equivalent, as determined by the Technical Director.
