The Social Worker will conduct psychosocial assessments and provide group and individual support using researched-based techniques to help patients and families adjust to illness and cope with related needs. Responsibilities also include acting as a patient advocate by recommending necessary community resources, such as social support and financial assistance.
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution with current Alabama licensure is required, though a Master's degree is preferred. Two or more years of experience is preferred, ideally including case management, community resource referral, and crisis management.
Education: Require BS degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university and current Alabama licensure. Preferred master’s degree in social work or related field.
