The specialist will deliver bedside wound care in post-acute settings, rounding daily at multiple facilities within a territory. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, performing debridement, prescribing dressings, and educating staff.
Candidates must be Nurse Practitioners (NP/ARNP) or Physician Assistants (PA) with an active state professional license and a valid driver's license. The role requires providing quality care to the Geriatric patient population in various post-acute care settings.
Active state professional license Valid driver’s license Duties: Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting. Round daily at multiple facilities Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan. Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings. Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required. Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use. Provide quality patient care to the Geriatric patient population.
