The Patient Care Technician collaborates with licensed nurses to support the safe and compassionate delivery of patient care, performing delegated tasks under supervision. Key tasks include obtaining vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting lab specimens, and supporting patient monitoring.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with either completion of an approved CNA/PCT certification program, enrollment with less than one semester remaining, or six months of previous experience in a specialty tech position. Active Kansas certification and BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire are mandatory.
