About the role

Key responsibilities include assessing resident healthcare needs, administering prescribed medication, and ensuring all nursing documentation accurately reflects the resident's medical condition. The role also involves communicating medical needs to the Director of Nursing and assisting with maintaining overall health and safety compliance.

Futures Recovery Healthcare is a state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta, Florida of Palm Beach County. Our medical, clinical, behavioral health technicians, admissions, outreach, executive, culinary, alumni, and intake teams all work together to meet a patient where they are and allow them to heal and recover in a safe and nurturing environment, which is essential for whole healing and life-long mental wellness.

Futures has an immediate need for compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses with experience in addictions (including detox), and eating disorders.

Duties

and Competencies:

Work cooperatively with residents, families and stakeholders assistance with their healthcare needs.

Assess and determine the individual needs of residents upon admission and during monitoring.

Communicate the medical needs of residents to the Director of Nursing

Administer prescribed medication.

Provide assistance to Director of Utilization Review in communicating pertinent nursing information.

Oversee resident medical records and ensure that all nursing documentation is accurate and truly reflects the resident’s medical condition.

Assist the Director of Operations in maintaining the overall Health and Safety of residents, staff and employees of Futures.

Actively participate in all Risk Management and Performance Improvement activities and meetings.

Assist with communicating Critical Incident Reports to the Director of Operations.

Ensure that delivery of nursing services meets and complies with Florida State licensing requirements and CARF standards.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Florida LPN license required.
  • Detox experience strongly preferred, but will consider substance abuse and/or eating disorder experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or treatment center setting.
  • Must be team-oriented and have strong nursing as well as administrative skills.
  • Ability to work on several assignments at once, good communication skills and strong medical background to support the clinical needs of Futures.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Florida LPN license and a minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or treatment center setting, with experience in addictions, detox, or eating disorders strongly preferred. The ideal applicant must be team-oriented with strong nursing and administrative skills.
