The Family Practice Physician will join an established outpatient team, managing a full panel of patients efficiently and with compassion. Responsibilities include providing high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staff.
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, along with an active or obtainable Kentucky medical license and DEA license. A commitment to quality care and strong clinical/communication skills are essential.
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join an established outpatient team in Newport, Kentucky. Schedule 36 hours per week Monday: First patient 8:30 AM | Last patient 6:40 PM Wednesday: First patient 8:30 AM | Last patient 4:50 PM Thursday: First patient 8:30 AM | Last patient 4:50 PM Friday: First patient 8:30 AM | Last patient 4:50 PM Practice Details Call: Backup call only (second to APRN), telephone-based, approximately 1:7 weeks NP Collaborative Agreements: $1,000 per Kentucky Board of Nursing agreement annually, up to 5 APRNs Patient Volume: 21–25 visits per day
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Active Kentucky medical license or ability to obtain licensure DEA license or eligibility to obtain Eligible for hospital privileges, if required Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care Ability to manage a full outpatient panel with efficiency and compassion Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Willingness to collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staff Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting Must meet credentialing and background check requirements Compensation & Benefits Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 paid after 90 consecutive days of employment Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 CME & License Fees: Up to $4,600 annually Retention Bonus: $8,000 after 2 and 3 years $8,500 after 5 and 7 years $9,000 after 10 years and every 5 years thereafter Paid Time Off: 240 hours annually Holidays: Up to 10 paid holidays (includes applicable national holidays and birthday off) 401(k): $1-for-$1 match on first 3% $0.50 match on next 2% Maximum employer match of 4% Immediate vesting (Safe Harbor plan) Health, Dental, Vision Insurance: Employer contributes; PPO and HSA options available Life Insurance: Employer-paid $80,000 policy with optional voluntary coverage Long-Term Disability: Optional, employee-paid Extended Illness Time: Accrued up to 8 weeks Loan Repayment: NHSC loan repayment eligible
