The Dental Assistant will support dentists during various procedures, including preparing and sterilizing equipment, taking x-rays, and managing patient records accurately. Responsibilities also involve providing post-operative care instructions and maintaining a clean, organized office environment while ensuring patient comfort.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a dental assisting program preferred, along with CPR and BLS certification. Required attributes include proven experience, familiarity with dental software and terminology, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, detail-oriented team setting.
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures and treatments. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after use. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as necessary. Manage patient records and ensure that all information is accurately entered and maintained. Provide patients with instructions for post-operative and general oral care. Help maintain a clean and organized dental office environment. Ensure that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program is preferred. Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS). Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or experience in a similar role. Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and dental software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective patient care. Ability to work well in a team and adapt to fast-paced environments.
