Under pharmacist supervision, the intern will assist with the technical and clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and support general pharmacy operations. This includes maintaining competency in compounding sterile intravenous medications while participating reliably as a team member.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED and be currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy program. Active registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Board of Pharmacy and necessary IV certification are also required based on state mandates.
The pharmacy intern, under the supervision of a preceptor pharmacist, will assist in the technical and clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations. Has the ability to participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality. Does related work, as required. Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
High School graduate or GED. Enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy. Active Registered Pharmacy Intern in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment. IV Certification or training, based on state requirements. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
