The Registered Nurse guides practice using ANA Standards and Code of Ethics, involving patient history recording, diagnostic test assistance, treatment administration, and establishing/contributing to patient care plans. Responsibilities also include teaching patients and families self-management skills and providing direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides.
Candidates must possess knowledge of professional nursing principles and be able to perform systematic data collection, analysis, and evaluation of patient care plans, integrating evidence-based practice. Required qualifications include an Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing (with a plan to complete a BSN within 60 months if applicable), over 10 months of med-surg or acute specialty experience, BLS certification, and Arizona RN licensure.
