The specialist will deliver clinical services by coordinating care with families and team members, assessing patient/family needs across developmental stages, and facilitating group activities and special events. Responsibilities also include supervising volunteers, preparing patients for medical events, and providing timely crisis intervention and education to families and staff.
A Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a child life setting. Candidates must possess the ability to think proactively, act creatively, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively within a changing healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge of child and adolescent development normally acquired through the completion of a baccalaureate degree in child development, child and family development or related field of study. Minimum of 1 year of experience in child life setting or equivalent position. Ability to think pro-actively, act creatively and take initiative appropriately. Ability to communicate effectively, work as a member of a team and adapt to the changing health care environment essential. Spanish language abilities strongly preferred.
