Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary
The RN, LPN & CMA have both administrative and clinical skills. Communicates with and assists in direct care of patients and facilities. Ensures timely flow of patients and assists the healthcare provider to provide optimal care to patients of all age groups.
Good rapport with co-workers and medical providers. Works to create a pleasant work environment; to be viewed as an asset to the patient’s medical team.
Prepares patients for exam by healthcare provider, assisting with exam as needed.
Prepares, administers, and orders medication with delegation as directed by provider and documents appropriately.
Responsible for the completion and proper documentation of point of care testing, if performed in department.
Shares and discusses diagnostic results from completed tests as delegated by provider.
Handles variety of telephone calls using triage to prioritize patient requests and phone call priorities.
Adds patients to schedule and monitors patient throughput.
Uses office equipment to accomplish communication and coordination of patient care.
Maintains physical office environment and equipment. Reports equipment in need of repair.
Performs intake of patient office visits capturing historical and current wellness information including screenings as well as a complete set of vitals.
Inventories supplies and communicates needs.
Communicates with interdisciplinary services regarding patient needs as indicated utilizing behavioral standards.
Professionally communicates and practices good customer service; demonstrates friendly and caring attitude toward patients and families.

Obtains specimens and complies with appropriate handling guidelines.
Queues up orders and testing for authorized sign off.
Prioritizes incoming communications and results to manage the clinical workflows.
Assists with obtaining prior authorizations with insurance companies.
Receives and provides report for patient’s status between various levels of care within departments.
Provides front line service recovery.
Provides patient education regarding new diagnosis, chronic disease progression and new medications.

Position Requirements
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current Illinois license as RN/LPN/CMA
Current BLS certification
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Knowledge of nursing process and use of the same
Good nursing practice skills
Ability to perform complex and varied tasks in a fast-paced work environment subject to stress and interruption
Pay Rate
Pay ranges from $23.855/hour to $38.168/hour for an RN (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
Pay ranges from $18.122/hour to $28.329/hour for an LPN (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
Pay ranges from $15.750/hour to $25.216/hour for a CMA (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)
Hours: Monday- Thursday 8a-5p, Friday 8a-12p
