Salary
$16 - $18 / HOUR
include supervising and assisting clients with safely preparing meals to ensure proper nutrition, and aiding with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. The role also requires interacting with the client, making frequent safety checks, assisting with light housekeeping, and helping clients identify and achieve various goals.
The ideal candidate is an empathetic, patient female DSP with an open mind and strong communication skills, preferably with two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Applicants must possess reliable transportation and a current Tuberculosis (PPD) test result.
Those with intellectual disabilities may struggle to recognize and/or express their needs and emotions, causing them to become agitated. An empathetic, patient individual with an open mind and strong communication skills would be an ideal fit for this population.
Will need the dsp to have flexibility on hours-- They are tbd and may change
