The Pathologist Assistant performs comprehensive macroscopic examination of Pathology specimens, including dissection and orientation, in preparation for microscopic examination by the Pathologist. Essential functions involve performing general duties under supervision, assisting with frozen sections, and conducting limited postmortem examinations like neonatal autopsies.
Master’s degree in health science, Pathologists’ Assistant Current license from New York State Department of Education as a Pathologist’s Assistant or eligible to obtain. ASCP certification. Pay Range: $47.50 - $65.00 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
