The Medical Assistant supports physicians and other professional healthcare providers in the ambulatory care setting by delivering both direct and indirect patient care. This position performs routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a medical assistant program, with knowledge of medical terminology required. Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is preferred at hire and required within 90 days, along with CPR certification within 60 days.

Job Specifications and Core Competencies Education: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a one-year medical assistant program or an accredited two-year medical assisting program Previous experience or training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred Knowledge of medical terminology required Licensure: Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA is preferred at hire and required within 90 days CPR certification required within 60 days of hire Experience: One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office preferred Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills preferred Our Commitment Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
