The Patient Care Assistant performs patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting healthcare providers with various technical and clinical procedures in the patient care area. Key duties include safely moving patients, collecting and documenting various tests like urine and glucometer results, and performing one-to-one monitoring when required.
A minimum requirement for this role is a high school diploma or GED, along with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions, and maintaining current CPR certification. Licensure as an STNA, NA, or MA is preferred, and proficiency in 12-lead ECG testing and electronic medical record documentation must be obtained and maintained.

Under assessment and supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical /clinical procedures in the patient care area.
