Range: $23.00 - $25.00 HourlySUMMARY As the Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care, transcribing dictation, documentation in patient records, phlebotomy, lab work, arranging medical services outside SMR, assisting the Medical Director, and performing other duties as assigned. Weekend coverage is part of the regular schedule for this position.
The most essential tasks for which you will be responsible include: Patient care. Transcribing dictation into patient records. Assisting Medical Director in arranging and meeting with patients. Phlebotomy, TB tests, and lab work. Coordinating lab and other medical services with other providers. Collecting and documenting pharmacy bills, receipts, and services. Documenting progress notes in patient records. Performing other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory responsibilities required in this position. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS High school graduate/GED required. Medical transcription experience. Certified Medical Assistant. Current and up to date credential from WA State DOH. Phlebotomy experience required. Addiction medicine experience preferred. Must have proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications—especially AURA EHR. Must be physically capable of performing the job and able to work with people in a friendly, caring manner. Must have the ability to cope with emotional behavior that is often apparent in patients in treatment. ACCESS TO PROTECTED HEALTH CARE INFORMATION Will have access to patient records.
