About the role

The CT Tech operates various CT/computer equipment to produce radiographic images of designated human anatomy areas on patients of all ages. This role requires accepting assignments across various locations within the Garnet Health Medical Center system, including all off-site facilities.

Per Diems shall be required to work 1 major and 2 minor holidays per year & 4 weekend days (Saturday or Sunday) per 3 month period of time.

A weekend is defined as a Saturday or Sunday.

Major and Minor Holidays are defined as: major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day) and two (2) other holidays throughout the year if and as needed by the Medial Center.

  • The compensation range for the role is $48.06 - $54.57/hourly Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program. Bachelors’ degree preferred. (New Graduates must have a letter from the radiology program stating they meet graduation requirements and provide diploma within 3 months of hire if diploma is not available at time of hire)

  • Experience: Six (6) months CT scan experience preferred or completion of a CT scan training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotation or commitment to complete the Garnet Health CT scan training program.

  • Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) required (New Graduates must obtain the ARRT (R) registry within 3 months from date of hire) ARRT (CT) Certification required within 18 months of hire BLS required within 30 days from date of hire or transfer NYS DOH Injection license required within 3 months from date of hire (New Graduates must have a temporary permit issued by NYS DOH as per NYS DOH Public Health Law Article 35 and obtain a NYS

Ability to lift 10 lbs.

  • Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Radiologic Technology Program, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and must possess ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification. A minimum of six months of CT scan experience is preferred, or completion/commitment to complete a CT scan training program, along with obtaining the NYS DOH Injection license.
