The Intake Pharmacy Technician creates patient profiles and processes orders from electronic prescription and fax queues in a timely manner, while also requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate. This role involves managing incoming documents from the fax server and ensuring accurate and efficient data input.
Candidates must be a licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law, possessing at least one year of pharmacy technician experience, with 3+ years desired. Required qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, brand/generic drug names, basic math, and intermediate typing skills.
• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy
• Required: Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time-management skills
