Surgical Skilled Technologists support the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are present and arranged before procedures, and by assisting the surgeon according to professional and legal standards during operations. They are also responsible for assisting in the operating room turnover, including the proper processing of specimens, equipment, and instrumentation after the procedure.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma/GED and obtain Certified Surgical Technologist certification from NBSTSA within four months of employment, along with current Basic Life Support Certification. Requirements also include knowledge of various surgical procedures and equipment within the first year, adherence to sterile field policies, and completing 15 continuing education units annually.

00am - 7:30pm, rotating days. Call is required, rotating for nights, weekends, and holidays.
