The technologist performs routine nuclear medicine procedures, which includes preparing patients for scans and operating imaging equipment to measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic information. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records for regulatory compliance and ensuring patient emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
Candidates must be certified by either the NMTCB or ARRT and possess current BLS Certification. This is a PRN position requiring a minimum commitment of one 8-hour shift coverage per month.
