The LPN is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of the physical and emotional needs of the patient and family, assisting in coordinating care to maximize comfort and enhance quality of life under the supervision of an RN. Essential functions include implementing the plan of care, administering medications, educating patients/caregivers, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation.
Candidates must possess a certificate from a college or technical school, along with three to six months of related experience or training. Required credentials include a current Florida LPN License, CPR certification, and a valid Florida Driver's License, with Hospice and Palliative Care Certification preferred.
