The role involves collaborating with the night intensivist to deliver high-quality care, performing cross-coverage, admitting critically ill patients to the MICU, participating in procedures, and providing tele-ICU coverage as part of a rotation. Responsibilities also include assessing, triaging, and managing patient/family needs as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
Applicants must be a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program, and while prior ICU experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply. Required licensure includes active PA Certification (NCCPA) or Connecticut State Nurse Practitioner License, Connecticut State License, ACLS/BLS Certification, and a DEA License.
