The role involves providing direct nursing services, mental health assessments, and treatment to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include obtaining and communicating clinical information, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing basic lab procedures like drawing blood.
Candidates must be licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the Colorado Board of Nursing, depending on the level applied for. Preferred experience includes 1-3 years working with seriously and persistently mentally ill patients, or a minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health.

Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications. Job Duties & Functions: Provide psychological problem identification, crisis interventions, and similar services to assigned patients. Provide limited case management services to people we serve as needed. Assist consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation. Coordinate consumer’s use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources. Coordinate medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s). Draw blood for lab work for patients. Monitor consumer’s vital signs. Periodically provide community injections Administer medications including intramuscular medications. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards. Participate in team/organization meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required. Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications: Psychiatric Nurse I: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado.
