As a Speech Language Pathologist, the role involves helping patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication abilities, as well as addressing swallowing issues and remediating related disorders. This includes designing effective treatment plans, executing services efficiently, and training patients and caregivers to promote independence.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area acceptable to ASHA. Additionally, applicants must be licensed, certified, or credentialed as required by the specific state where they will be practicing.

1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 2. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
