The Licensed Social Worker provides individual and group counseling services to residents in residential treatment addressing substance use disorders and assists them in accessing necessary community resources. This role also involves functioning collaboratively within the clinical team, guiding Counselors, and maintaining comprehensive resident documentation.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, along with one year of experience working with chemically dependent clients in a social services setting. New York State Licensure as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist is required, or must be obtainable within a six-month probationary period.

The Licensed Social Worker is responsible for providing individual and group counseling services on a wide range of clinical and community issues for individuals in residential treatment to address a substance use disorder. Assists residents and their families in accessing community resources and services related to substance abuse, legal, mental health, medical and vocational/educational needs. Functions in a collaborative role within the clinical team and provides guidance and direction to the Counselors.
