What We’re Looking For
Flexibility - it is REQUIRED to travel within 20 to 30-mile radius from their home of residence and assist in both Tampa, Hudson, and future Florida locations.
Certified Surgical Technologist: Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with a current certification.
Clinical Experience: Hands-on experience with surgical instrumentation and procedures.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS: Must hold a current BLS or ACLS certification.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of surgical technology, medical terminology, and sterile techniques.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot instruments and equipment efficiently.
Team Player: Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless operations.
Patient-Focused Approach: Maintain a safe, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive environment for patients.
Organizational Skills: Ability to anticipate surgical needs and ensure smooth case flow.
Leadership & Mentorship: Willingness to mentor, precept, and train others in various surgical modalities.
What You’ll Do
Function under the direction of the registered professional nurse to assist in safe and effective patient care.
Prepare the operative suite and surgical field while maintaining strict adherence to sterile field protocols.
Gather required instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team for an efficient, organized workflow.
Exhibit expertise in progressively complex surgical cases and develop additional skills over time.
Troubleshot instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes.
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of surgical supplies in the ASC and other perioperative areas.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and best practices.
