The role involves providing efficient, quality-oriented patient care within departmental policies, including performing support activities like equipment maintenance, inventory, and setting up respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illness. Responsibilities also include identifying and implementing components of the respiratory process and teaching patients and families about their needs.
Candidates must be graduates of a Respiratory Therapy program and hold a current, valid license as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. One year of critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience is preferred.
