The Advanced Practice Provider will perform clinical patient care services, including data gathering, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and managing stable and chronic illnesses under physician supervision. Key duties involve patient evaluation, ordering and interpreting tests, documenting findings, recommending interventions, and providing patient education and counseling.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in nursing or as a physician assistant, along with completion of an approved course of study for their respective role. Licensure requires current NCCPA certification and D.C. licensure for PAs, or ANCC certification and D.C. licensure for NPs, with previous experience being preferred.
To perform, under the responsibility and supervision of physicians, clinical patient care service defined as data gathering, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, management of stable and chronic illnesses; and counseling. The NP/PA will be credentialed according to the medical staff regulations. They will be under the supervision of an appropriately credentialed attending physician.
