The pharmacist performs duties according to organizational policies, accurately entering computer orders, reviewing medication profiles, and assessing medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness. They also manage supportive personnel, delegate tasks, audit controlled substances, and actively participate in clinical programs and staff training.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school and have at least one year of hospital experience. Required certifications include Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure eligibility, ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding certification upon hire, and AHA/ARC Basic Life Support certification upon hire, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 180 days for inpatient roles.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an American College of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school of pharmacy Experience 1 year with experience in a hospital setting required for an inpatient position Licenses and Certifications Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) is required and Texas license with TSBP Upon Hire and Texas license with TSBP within 30 days of date of hire. within 30 Days and (ACPE-IV) STERILE COMPOUNDING (IV) CERT Sterile compounding (IV) certification accredited by ACPE Upon Hire and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification with course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire and ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) will be required for inpatient positions within 180 Days Preferred Experience 1 year retail experience for retail position
