The Medical Assistant facilitates communication between the patient and provider by collecting pertinent information, preparing the patient for the visit through rooming and vital documentation, and assisting with procedures and form completion. Key duties also involve maintaining exam room standards, managing biohazard waste, and ensuring timely response to voicemails and chart preparation.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or possess a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, with prior Medical Assistant experience being preferred. Required knowledge includes the healthcare field, general clinic patient care, back office skills, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
