The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant implements and executes established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, while also communicating with patients, families, and physicians. This role requires providing timely written documentation, preparing accurate patient charges, and coordinating treatment goals with team members.
Candidates must possess a current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License and current CPR certification. Preference is given to applicants with at least one year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Summary of the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA): Provides quality rehabilitation care to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as outlined in the plan of care in accordance with laws, regulations, and Facility guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of theCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA): Implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Communicate with patience, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team. Provide timely written documentation per facility and department requirements. Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional association. Provide timely written documentation as required. Support and participate in department operations and development. Report any changes in patient status or needs to supervising therapist on a timely basis. Prepare and submit patient charges accurately to access appropriate billing information. Coordinate treatment goals with other team members.
