The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing Respiratory Care services under the supervision of the Critical Care Director, Medical Director, and Respiratory Department Manager, adhering to physician orders and department policies. Key duties include managing oxygen delivery methods, administering various respiratory therapy treatments, and setting up/monitoring mechanical ventilators.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy and hold current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure, along with 5 years of verifiable experience. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, with PALS, NRP, and Blood Gas Technologist certification needed within 90 days, and 2 or more years of NICU experience is preferred.
