The Medical Assistant will primarily be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting clinicians with examinations and minor procedures, and handling phlebotomy and pre-authorizations. Additionally, the role requires covering the front administrative office duties such as answering phones, scheduling, and managing patient check-in/discharge when necessary.
Candidates must have a diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification, or one year of direct patient care experience in lieu of education. A Certified BLS Provider credential from the AHA is required within 90 days of hire, and Spanish bilingualism is preferred.
