The Audiologist is responsible for administering and interpreting various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, including evaluating results against behavioral and social factors. Duties also involve conducting otoscope examinations, managing cerumen, performing equipment calibration checks, and maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD) or an equivalent advanced degree and hold an active, unrestricted audiologist license in the state where exams are performed. Certification by ASHA or graduation from an ASHA-certified program is required, with two years of experience in an Audiology role being preferred.
