The Physical Therapy Assistant assists in providing physical therapy treatments and performing procedures within Sonoma County. This role involves potentially assisting in treatment plan development, documenting progress, and modifying specific treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program and hold PTA-Registered Physical Therapist Assistant and BLS-Basic Life Support certifications. A minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience is typically required, along with a valid driver's license.
This position will cover Sonoma County EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: PTA-Registered Physical Therapist Assistant BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: Department - SCAH: Auto Insurance Department - SCAH: DL-Valid Drivers License TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Critical thinking and problem solving, decisive judgement and ability to work within scope of practice. Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements. Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements. Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies. Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities. Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills. Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
