The Radiologic Technologist will operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating injuries or diseases, which includes preparing patients and ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Key duties involve setting up and operating radiographic equipment, selecting proper ionizing factors, positioning patients, processing film, and maintaining required records and equipment quality control checks.
Candidates must complete an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology Level I and are required to obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment, along with maintaining BLS certification. The role involves operating specialized equipment, adhering to safety standards, and performing routine maintenance and quality checks on the X-ray unit.
