The Ophthalmic Scribe is responsible for accurately documenting physician-patient encounters in real time. This role involves ensuring the completeness and accuracy of medical records and assisting with patient flow and clerical support.
An associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred, along with 1 year of experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician or scribe. Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team are essential.

The Ophthalmic Scribe is responsible for accurately and efficiently documenting physician-patient encounters in real time, allowing the physician to focus on patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of ophthalmic terminology, exam procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. The scribe works closely with the physician and clinical team to ensure accurate charting, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance the overall patient experience.
Executes tasks independently. Learns and memorizes tasks. Maintains concentration/focus on tasks. Performs task in a demanding environment requiring multi-task and prioritize work. Must be comfortable working and interacting with large groups of people daily.
