The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and Staff Pharmacists, providing medication preparation and distribution. Duties include inputting prescriptions, IV preparation, and managing inventory.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy is required, and PTCB Certification is preferred.
Position Overview: Title: Pharmacy Technician Position Status: PRN (as needed; 0 fte) Non-Exempt (Hourly) Location: Crookston Schedule: Variable shifts. Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays. Pay Range: Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician ($18.85 - $26.40); Certified Pharmacy Technician ($21.89 - $30.65) - (DOE - based on experience) RiverView Health has an opening for a PRN (0 fte) Pharmacy Technician. Primary Responsibilities: RiverView Health operates an inpatient hospital pharmacy and a retail pharmacy. Duties include inputting prescriptions into the computer, preparing, and processing medications for final check by a Pharmacist, IV preparation, inpatient dosage preparation, medication distribution, and much more. Other Responsibilities: Inventory management, quality Improvement, medication recalls.
Required: Applicants must be 18 years of age. High School graduate or equivalent is required. Registration with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy is required. PTCB Certification is preferred. Preferred(s): 1+ years’ experience in Hospital or retail pharmacy setting. Certified Pharmacy Technician experience. Competencies required for this role: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Collaboration and teamwork, supporting team goals. Attention to detail demonstrating accuracy in preparation and documentation. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
